Video: An Easy Way to Automate Your Motor Grader

In construction and earthmoving projects, precision and accuracy are key. This is where 3D machine control solutions come in, providing operators with real-time information about the elevation and position of the blade on a motor grader. While the GPS technology in machine control is important for accurate positioning, the software powering the solution makes all the difference in achieving the best results.

Motor grading is made easy with MC1, a software solution platform that can guide and automate all heavy construction machines. In the video above, Kert Parker, U.S. channel development manager for Leica Geosystems, part of Hexagon, offers a tutorial for those operating a motor grader through MC1 and its accompanying panel and docking station.

Kert’s verdict is clear: With an intuitive user interface, MC1 software gets operators grading efficiently, with less time manually adjusting the position/elevation of the blade for complex grading tasks and more time moving the dirt.
