Video: New IoT Platform Accelerates Digital Transformation in Construction

If your construction company is drowning in paperwork and struggling to improve cumbersome business practices, you’re not alone. Disjointed, disconnected and unscalable processes prevent many firms from operating at peak efficiency. Recently, however, new solutions have enabled a radical shift in digitalization by harnessing the Internet of Things to provide real-time access and accountability between the field and office. In the video interview below, JD Martin and Justin Martin of Corbins Electric, an electrical contractor based in Phoenix, AZ, share how they are harnessing a new technology called Xalt to create connected workflows that increase visibility and accountability throughout the business.

Introduced by Hexagon in June 2018, Xalt seeks to create Autonomous Connected Ecosystems (ACE), a state where data is connected seamlessly through the convergence of the physical world with the digital, and intelligence is built in to all processes of a company’s network. It helps firms adapt to digital market environments and leverage existing digital technologies to improve operations by enabling infinite connectivity across all functions. At Corbins Electric, Xalt provides leading indicators that enable the business to make changes on the fly to avoid problems, drive productivity and capitalize on success.
